Case Study: Malta Enterprise

As an outcome of the Malta Enterprise Board, an advisory body to the Minister of Economic Services focused on building Foreign Direct Investment and a Business Friendly environment in Malta, Pier was engaged to define and implement a strategy for the development of Malta Enterprise. Working with a small core consulting team, and through the active engagement of the key leaders of Malta’s existing agencies, designed an agency from the ground-up that had the potential to deliver visionary services and transform Malta’s business environment. Setting up this new agency while winding down the existing ones was a unique challenge; working with staff and unions to ensure fairness, sustained morale and a positive energy in a particularly challenging time. Led the transformation with these teams and operated as the start-up CEO to bring the new and ongoing management team on board for the agency.
